An American Eating in Korea: Vegetarian

Every year for 40 days and 40 nights, in solidarity of the time that Jesus spent alone in the desert, I do not eat meat. I've done this for the last few, maybe 5 years, where for Lent I will follow the Friday Rule every day. This means that I do not eat pork, chicken, or beef, but I will eat eggs, drink milk, and eat fish. It is more of a Pescatarian diet than a complete vegetarian.

Now I know what you are thinking, how in the hell did you manage to go vegetarian in a country that has it's own brand of chicken and barbeque? It was not easy! I mostly cooked for myself the entire time. Luckily Italian food is popular everywhere so having cheese pizza and pasta are easily accessible. Other than that, I ate a lot of seafood!
